Let’s all be thankful for Viagra

It’s never a happy thought, but we are all getting older. Those of us boomers are into our sixties now with the rest of the pack starting to catch up. This is the time when things really start going wrong with our bodies. Most of us have been lucky up to now. But despite the best efforts of medical science, there’s no pill to slow down the years. Worse, the most likely first symptom of age is going to be erectile dysfunction. All those high cholesterol meals we crammed away will come back to bite us as layers of platelets build up on the walls of our blood vessels. Some call this arteriosclerosis, others artherosclerosis. Whichever name, the result is the same. The muscles in the walls of the arteries needed to dilate start to fail. Without the dilation, there can be no erection. It’s an unhappy thought, but loss of sexual power can be the first symptom of a lifestyle with too much fat and too little exercise. When someone invents a time machine, we can go back and give ourselves good advice. Until then, we have to make the best of our golden years.

Curiously, the world is growing old with us. When we were young and living through the fifties, the television was a novelty. Replacing the radio and its world of advertiser-sponsored programs came the future with moving images and all the new ads. They were simple sales pitches, very naive by modern standards. But they got the message across. And what were those messages? Well, for the most part, housewives were told what food to put on our plates, what drinks to offer us. Then came the things to make the household run smoothly and the latest model vehicle to get us from A to B. In between were sometimes disturbing news reports which grew worse as we came into the sixties and the Russians took over Cuba as a missile base on our doorstep. In some senses, it’s actually more relaxing to have the modern coverage of world events. For the most part, our media have forgotten the need to tell us what’s happening outside our shores. It’s more important to package our local politics as the news and give us the messages most important to those controlling the content. The ads have changed as well. The networks have decided the silver-haired crowd has the buying power. We boomers hold what’s left of the purse strings. So we need to know about the adhesive to keep our dentures in place, heat wraps to keep the arthritis pain under control and the latest pills to keep Alzheimer’s away. Oh, and the pills to keep our sex lives going. more…

Viagra can be unnecessary after these measures

Ways to prevent erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction is a health condition that affects almost all men at a different stage of their lives. And while developing it in a senior age is not seen as something dramatic, earlier cases of ED give men some hard times and much stress. The ability to perform sexually is a milestone of male psychology and you can imagine what happens from the emotional and psychological point of view when impotence takes its force. Stress and depression are the most common issues arising from erectile dysfunction and these factors alone can significantly worsen one’s quality of life.

Of course there are effective treatments for erectile dysfunction these days and even the most severe cases are known to be treated by drugs such as Viagra. But why taking the situation to the point when you need drugs to sustain your sexual abilities when you can effectively prevent erectile dysfunction and prolong your period of activity in a completely natural fashion? Yes, it’s really possible and doesn’t require costly medical procedures or herbal treatments that cost a fortune. Simple lifestyle changes can have much deeper and more beneficial impact on the quality of your erection than pricey medication when the problem is already here. The following tips are complex goals you have to set in order to prevent erectile problems at an early stage:

Pay attention to what you eat and drink

Employ a healthy diet rich with vitamins and free of fats and fried products. Eat more fruits and vegetables, switch to poultry and fish rather than red meat. This is all important for the state of your blood vessels that can otherwise be damaged by conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, hypertension and many others arising from an unhealthy diet. And we all know how having good blood circulation is important for good erections. more…

Cheap Viagra improves your sex life

Although there are some signs the recession may be coming to an end, this does not change the long-term damage to the lives of millions of people. When writing about the housing bubble and the behavior of bankers, it’s customary only to talk about the money and leave the rest of the bad news as numbers. We give the national unemployment rate as a percentage. We give the rate of foreclosures state-by-state. But we do not personalize it by talking about whether the official unemployment numbers count how many have no work, or say how many people now have nowhere to live. That would mean talking about real people who have not been able to find work for more than six months and are living in a rented room. Included in this national blindness is the medical profession. They have been very slow to talk about the effects of the recession on mental health. All we get are the after-the-event number of prescriptions written. Even this is misleading because it ignores all those who buy online without a prescription.

Let’s be clear about the theme of this article. Other than those who are insulated from the real world by their wealth and status, there are very high levels of stress among the rest of the community. Fear about whether there will be work and where to live dominate millions of lives, particularly among the young. Vast numbers of our children are leaving college or university knowing they may not find any work for months. This shows in the sudden increase in the number of antidepressants prescribed to those aged less than thirty. Stress and erectile dysfunction are related. The greater the damage to self-confidence, the more likely it is that sexual performance will suffer. This runs alongside the rise in sleeping disorders and obesity as people without work lose their natural habits of sleep and lead couch-potato lives. In a perfect world, men facing this combination of health problems would be referred to counseling. Unfortunately, the majority have no individual health insurance and cannot afford the expense of therapy. more…
